Anteater Glass belongs to a playful menagerie created collaboratively by Bernard Heesen and Nienke Sikkema. Each glass features a different creature, shaped with the spontaneity and wit that characterize both artists’ practices. Subtle variations celebrate the pleasure of the making process and ensure that every member of this curious glass coterie is entirely unique. The pair met when Sikkema began working at De Oude Horn, Heesen’s glassblowing studio. Together, they share an intuitive approach to glassmaking that allows each artist’s distinct voice to emerge through their collaboration.
