Rafi Ajl’s Bulb – Saguaro G belongs to *Saguaro Works*, a series through which the artist introduces a new mold-making process to the tradition of glass craft. Its elongated form rises from a pooled base like a desert plant caught mid-growth, its rippled surface gathering light as it moves from pale green to smoky amber before ending in a small molten flourish. Conceived as a discrete object within a larger, evolving body of work, the vessel embodies a period of renewed experimentation, where established techniques become a testing ground for unfamiliar processes and forms.
