Rainbow Ornament by Silvia Sukopova continues the artist’s exploration of an experimental 3D-printing process she calls Rainbow Layered Material. Three individually printed shells of translucent, biobased, and biodegradable PLA are nested together without glue or mechanical joints. As the layers overlap, their colors shift with the viewing angle and surrounding light, giving the ornament an ever-changing visual presence.
