Red Egg by Ozzy Abaddon draws out the strange, almost alien qualities hidden within an everyday kitchen staple like eggs and root vegetables. Hand-built ceramic transforms the familiar into a fantastical neo-grotesque keepsake, animated by surreal growths, muted gouache, glossy ceramics, and twinkling cut glass. Rooted in Islamic, American, and South Indian domestic traditions, Abaddon’s practice reimagines ordinary forms and rituals as objects that are speculative and hedonistic.
